A quick recap because I really need to clean my house (my family comes TOMORROW). We swam and had a BBQ at the Cardenas'. The kids lived in the pool. Preston dives like his mother (belly first), and Carson, evidently, has no shame when it comes to changing out of his swim trunks. Changing behind a chair is privacy enough. Abby digs food and Mimi and Papa have almost been persuaded to put a pool in their backyard. Keep your fingers crossed for us!
We then crossed the Chino Hills/Chino border to watch some fireworks...legally this year. We joined some friends from the ward to light off sparklers and flowers and even a Big Bertha or two. Carson still has his fear of all things associated with fireworks. Holding a sparkler was too risky in his cautious little mind.
It was a fabulous day filled with family, friends, fireworks and fun! Happy 233rd Birthday America!
