went to the doctor today. I promised Preston that he wouldn't have to get any shots since he had them all last year for Kindergarten. I'm a liar. Or so I must appear in his eyes. They (some loser at our previous doctor's office) never gave him his Hep A booster and, to top it all off, just this year, it's recommended that all children get a varicella booster. So, Preston had to get two shots without the adequate pep talk. He was a little nervous and asked that I "hold him like a baby" (don't tell him I told you that). He didn't freak and was superboy tough while getting them. I, however, felt so bad I took him to Wal*Mart afterwards, so he could get a new Star Wars guy. Abby had 5 vaccinations done in 4 shots and wasn't too thrilled with me afterward. She's more dramatic than I remember the boys being. A sign of things to come?

In closing, take your kids to get a varicella booster. If not for their health, than so I didn't go through this h#$% alone.

You make me laugh! Don't you hate it when your kids look at you like you're a freakin idiot? Good thing Preston wasn't a girl. He would have given you a run for your money trying to get away from those darn shots.
Poor kids. I always hate when my kids have to get shots. They are so traumatizing!
We did shots this week too - no fun. I think it is worse for the Mom than the kids.
When Logan was a baby she had her first set of shots and I didn't have her get them again until she was 18 months old. I was a wimp! My boys toughened me up.
Liar, liar pants on fire, hanging from a telephone wire. I used to tell Jackson the shots were the same one's Michael Jordan (insert star war character here, or spiderman, or batdude.....) gets. That means it will make your basketball game better.
I'm not ready to go through the baby shots again. They get me every time! Abby looks so cute sleeping there. Smart woman not to wake her up!
Hi Brenda...we miss you guys! Just the other day Rachel said, "I haven't seen Carson in a long time." Every now and again she talks about him. I can't believe how big Abby is getting! :)
Thomalee-don't know if you'll see this but it's good to hear from you! Carson still talks about Rachel too! She's such a sweetie!
